At Cooper Park Houses, the expansion and constriction of the hallways create focal points for the display of community trophies, notices, and artwork. The previously anonymous street entrance is replaced with an emphatically expressed plaza and vestibule. With the introduction of additional windows, noticeably more daylight pours into the meeting rooms and corridors.

Despite the center’s modest budget, the gym is transformed into a far more teen-friendly environment with walls padded with rip-resistant fabric and a new curved window that invites natural light to fill the space.
